One week after dismantling New York City FC, 7-0, the New York Red Bulls thrashed another Eastern Conference contender with yet another decisive performance.

Led by a Bradley Wright-Phillips hat-trick, the New York Red Bulls cruised past Toronto FC, 3-0, on Saturday at Red Bull Arena. The performance saw the Red Bulls earn their third straight win while also claiming honors as SBI MLS Team of the Week.

While Wright-Phillips provided the goalscoring punch, Sacha Kljestan pulled the strings from the midfield by netting a pair of assists on the night. It took just four minutes for the Red Bulls to find the back of the net, and Jesse Marsch’s side never took their foot off the gas. Even a Gonzalo Veron red card couldn’t undo the Red Bulls, who were never under much threat after Sebastian Giovinco left the game due to injury.

It was a clinical, yet vicious, performance from the Red Bulls, who earned SBI MLS Team of the Week honors over the Montreal Impact, Columbus Crew and New England Revolution.

What did you think of the Red Bulls’ performance? Which team stood out to you over the weekend?
