MLS Ticker: Kaka, Porter, NYCFC and more

While one of Orlando City’s biggest stars continues to miss time due to injury, a Western Conference side has added depth to its already strong midfield.

Kaka has been ruled out ahead of Orlando City’s match against the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night. The Brazilian has started in nine matches this season, notching three goals and five assists. (REPORT)

Sporting KC acquired forward Cameron Porter from the Montreal Impact on Tuesday in exchange for defender Amadou Dia. Porter’s goal famously lifted the Impact into last season’s CONCACAF Champions League final, but the forward has yet to feature since tearing his ACL last year. (REPORT)

Sporting KC has signed Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Appiah after being selected 15th overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids. The 22-year-old played two matches on loan with USL side Charlotte Independence before leaving the team in June. (REPORT)
