A Mexican star has officially joined the NASL, while his new team earned a draw in a friendly with a major European club.

The Carolina RailHawks have signed former Mexican National Team star Omar Bravo. The 36-year-old forward is Chivas de Guadalajara’s all-time leading scorer with 130 total goals. (REPORT)

Shortly after announcing Bravo’s signing, the RailHawks tied Premier League club West Ham United, 2-2, at WakeMed Soccer Park. Hammers centerback Winston Reid provided a goal and an own goal, while Andy Carroll and Marvin Ceballos provided finishes for West Ham and the RailHawks, respectively. (REPORT)

Bravo may not be the only Mexican international on his way to the NASL, as Rayo OKC is reportedly in talks with Mexican defender Jonny Magallón, who made 54 career appearances for El Tri. (REPORT)

Miami FC’s spending spree looks set to continue, as the first-year club has reportedly acquired veteran Johnny Steele. The former MLS midfielder, who most recently featured for Ottawa Fury FC, could be announced as a Miami FC player in the coming days. (REPORT)

While Steele has departed the club, Fury FC did boost their attack with the signing of Thomas Stewart, formerly of Sacramento Republic FC. (REPORT)

Rayo OKC has released defender Juanan from his contract. The defender made six appearances this season, starting each time. (REPORT)

  1. Bravo would do just fine in NASL, even at 36…a decent striker.

    On another note, does anyone know what is going on with Samaras and why is he not playing for Oklahoma/Rayo?
