The new captain of the Croatian National Team has been named following Darijo Srna’s retirement, the early-season shuffle of players continues as the transfer window winds down, while a massive club in France has been sold.

Croatia coach Ante Cacic has named Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric captain as a successor to Darijo Srna, who retired in the wake of this summer’s European Championship. The playmaker will begin his captaincy in Croatia’s next competitive match on Sept. 5th in a World Cup qualifier against Turkey. (REPORT)
