The Olympics in Rio 2016 kick off their games on Wednesday with women’s soccer, even before the opening ceremony and the lighting of the torch. However, the day is set to be chock full of plenty of club team action as well.

Olympic hosts Brazil face off against China in the first round of games. Two worthy contenders in France and Colombia are set to clash, as well as Germany taking on Zimbabwe.

Only one MLS game is on the schedule on Wednesday with Real Salt Lake visiting Toronto FC. The home side will look to utilize Sebastian Giovinco’s fantastic form of late to win another three points at BMO Field.

The International Champion’s Cup continues tonight with two continental clashes. First Bayern Munich will look to match up with Real Madrid. Then later, AC Milan and Chelsea will go toe to toe, both teams looking to bounce back from disappointing 2015/2016 seasons.

The CONCACAF Champion’s League kicked off on Tuesday, and that action continues on Wednesday as both the New York Red Bulls and Portland Timbers begin their group stage runs.

Week 6 of the NASL Fall Season starts Wednesday, beginning with Indy Eleven hosting the Jacksonville Armada. NASL action then continues with Puerto Rico FC visiting top-three Minnesota United.
