Americans Abroad: Wednesday Preview

A pair of notable U.S. Men’s National Team contributors will be out of action on Wednesday, but plenty of Americans Abroad are set to take the field in both league and cup competition.

Aron Johannsson and John Brooks are set to miss Bundesliga clashes due to suspension and injury, respectively. The latter’s absence is particularly concerning as second-place Hertha Berlin face Julian Green’s Bayern Munich, who sit atop the table. In other Bundesliga action, Fabian Johnson’s Borussia Monchengladbach visits Terrence Boyd and RB Leipzig.

In England, Cameron Carter-Vickers may get his competitive debut with Tottenham in a clash with Gillingham, while Lynden Gooch hopes to return to the lineup for Sunderland’s match against Queens Park Rangers. Geoff Cameron, Tim Ream and Luca de la Torre may also see the field as both Fulham and Stoke City are in action.
