The UEFA Champions League returns to action on Wednesday, and Fabian Johnson’s Borussia Monchengladbach faces yet another matchup against one of the world’s top teams.

Following a 4-0 thumping against Manchester City in their group stage opener, Borussia Monchengladbach now faces a match against Barcelona in the second game of their Champions League run. Julian Green and Bayern Munich face a difficult road as well, as the young attacker hopes to make the Bayern bench against Atletico Madrid.

In CONCACAF Champions League action, Luis Silva, Jose Torres and Edgar Castillo could all see the field, although the latter’s Monterrey team has already suffered elimination. Elsewhere, DeAndre Yedlin and Newcastle face off with Norwich in league play, while several American stars could take the field in the latest round of the Copa MX.

    • Fabian went 90 four days ago and came on in the 2nd half. Not ideal but I didn’t expect him to start. His legs looked a little tired today.

Green’s fall is disheartening. There seemed to be hope we might have Pulisic and Green both getting minutes at the two biggest clubs in Germany. Hopefully someone ahead of him gets hurt soon.
