Benji joya makes less than a journeyman GK?
Lodeiro makes more than bedoya?
Donovan makes half a mil for 5 or so games?
Interesting lol
There are always lots of seeming disparities in salary lists. Some stand out to me–at NYCFC Diskerud gets about 5 times as much as Harrison. A lot of times the disparities are due to where the players are in their careers. For example, Cyle Larin gets $177 k, a real bargain while Gerrard gets $6 million. One real disparity to me is at Portland where Melano who hasn’t really produced that much gets about 50% more than Valeri who is probably their MVP. One thing for sure is that both Villa and Giovinco get a lot and they are worth every penny and are maybe underpaid given their value. Another thing is that money goes a lot farther for housing in the small market team cities than in LA, San Jose, Boston, DC, or New York.
Yeah, I was thinking that about comparative buying power: $800K in Kansas City has got to be over a $1million in Boston.
