Americans Abroad: Tuesday Preview

The UEFA Champions League returns for a pair of young Americans Abroad, while several others will look to take the field across league and cup competitions.

Headlining Tuesday’s action is Christian Pulisic, who hopes for a return to the Borussia Dortmund lineup for a clash with Sporting Lisbon. The U.S. Men’s National Team winger started and went 90 minutes against Hertha Berlin on Friday, but could be ready in time to make some sort of impact on Tuesday afternoon. In other UCL action, another American youngster, Cameron Carter-Vickers, looks to join Tottenham for a clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

In CONCACAF Champions League action, Jose Torres and Luis Silva will hope to seal Tigres’ spot in the knockout round in a clash with Herediano. Another Liga MX side, Club America, is also in action, as Ventura Alvarado and co. face Chiapas in the Copa MX.

English soccer also promises a busy day, as DeAndre Yedlin, Danny Williams, Tim Ream, Jonsthan Spector and Eric Lichaj are all in Championship action.

  1. Expect Pulisic off the bench today. He went 90 on Friday, Dembele only played a half and Mor has been suspended for the next two Bundesliga matches so CP will be needed for the weekend matches.
