Soccer Monday: Your Running Commentary

france

Two European heavyweights will collide on Monday in World Cup qualifying.

The Netherlands and France square off in the marquee match of the day in Group A. The top-four teams are separated by one point, with both the French and Dutch level on four points entering the game.

Over in Group B, Portugal will face the Faroe Islands, who have been a huge surprise so far. The Faroese are in second place on four points and have yet to concede a goal. That defensive record will be put to the test by Cristiano Ronaldo and co. on Monday.

In Group H, Belgium and Greece are in action against Gibraltar and Estonia, respectively. The former two nations have six points through their first two qualifiers and will look to maintain their perfect records.
