As several years away from the game due to injury, Terrence Boyd is nearing a return to full fitness but his return to regular gametime may actually come away from his current club.
RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick says that the club is willing to listen to offers for the U.S. Men’s National team striker. Boyd is entering final months of his current deal with the Bundesliga club, which shockingly sits in second currently in the club’s first season in the top flight.
“There were concrete offers for him in August,” Rangnick told Bild. “I expect it to be similar in winter, and if there are any offers, we will sit down and look for the best solution for both Terrence and us.”
Boyd recently returned to the game following a two-year absence due to a series of knee issues. The forward joined up and earned a substitute appearance for the USMNT in the group’s most recent friendly, but has been limited to reserve team action with RB Leipzig.
