Soccer Tuesday: Your Running Commentary

It’s a jam-packed Tuesday of soccer as the UEFA Champions League and MLS playoffs resume.

The slate of Champions League action is highlighted by Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Sporting CP as Real Madrid tries to book its spot in the round of 16. Christian Pulisic and Borussia Dortmund will try to pip Madrid to first place in Group F as the German side squares off with Legia Warsaw.

The first legs of the MLS conference finals in MLS begin tonight. The action begins with the Eastern Conference final between the Montreal Impact and Toronto FC in front of more than 61,000 fans at Olympic Stadium. Then the focus switches to the Pacific Northwest as the Seattle Sounders host the Colorado Rapids in the Western Conference final.

  1. Pulisic has looked really good. He might be the fastest boy in the world. Almost got an assist after a beautiful run into the box and lay off, but the shot went off the pipe. Then moments later he gets sprung down the right wing after a corner, like JK dreamed of doing with Yedlin, and sets up a saved shot whose rebound finds the back of the net. Then another goal by the other team. This is wonderful madness.
