Some bad news for Hertha Berlin ahead of their clash with joint-leaders RB Leipzig this weekend.

U.S. Men’s National Team defender John Brooks will miss his second consecutive match for his club. The defender is dealing with lingering problems with his back and his Achilles as well as a muscle injury in his thigh.

Brooks sat out last weekend’s home defeat, Hertha’s first of the season, and will be sorely missed against a RB Leipzig team coming off its first loss of the season. The upstart club is currently sitting tied with Bayern Munich atop the table.

Hertha currently sits in third place, six points behind RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.
