The latest step of the Major League Soccer offseason comes on Friday, as the first stage of the Re-Entry Draft takes place at 3 p.m. ET.

Forty-one players are eligible to be chosen, including Blas Perez, Mauro Rosales, Cristian Maidana. The Chicago Fire have the first selection, while the Houston Dynamo will pick second. (REPORT)

FC Dallas signed Belgian winger Roland Lamah and Costa Rican full back Jose Salvatierra were announced as the club’s latest additions. Lamah, 28, is best known to American fans for his team with Premier League side Swansea City and is a five-time Belgian international, while Salvatierra, 27, has been a presence on the flanks for the Ticos for quite some time and most recently played for Alajuelense. FC Dallas re-signed defender Atiba Harris on Thursday. The 31-year-old has made 96 appearances in a FC Dallas shirt. He’s played in 246 matches during his MLS career. (REPORT)

One day before Harris inked his new deal, FC Dallas acquired defender Anibal Chala from Ecuador’s El Nacional. The 20-year-old brings a good amount of experience to Toyota Stadium for a player his age, as he’s made over 100 appearances in the Ecuadorian first division. (REPORT)

In other news across MLS, the Portland Timbers parted ways with Steven Taylor. The former Newcastle United man made nine appearances for Caleb Porter’s men in 2016. (REPORT)

You know, as the Galaxy look to rebuild their midfield, they could do worse than throwing a white shirt on Mauro Rosales for a season and see if he can fill a hole. Dude’s produced everywhere he’s gone, and yet can’t seem to stick around anywhere. I know that when he was in LA with Chivas two years ago, he was pretty much their best player for the short time he was in the rojiblanco. If Arena was still boss, I could see a signing like this happening, as he loves veterans to a fault. But now that it’s the Vagenas/Onolfo show… who knows?
