Tijuana continues to shine through the first few weeks of the Liga MX season, and a trio of Americans abroad played a major part in the team’s latest win.

Paul Arriola and Michael Orozco both started and played all 90 minutes in Friday’s 1-0 win over Cruz Azul while midfielder Joe Corona was substituted just seconds before the final whistle. The win lifts Tijuana to the top of the table with nine points through the first four games of the Clausura campaign.

In Germany, Andrew Wooten returned from the winter break with a big performance, notching an assist in Sandhausen’s 3-0 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf. A league above, Timmy Chandler and Eintracht Frankfurt also enjoyed a productive Friday, toppling Schalke to move all the way to third in the Bundesliga.
