While one American could make his return to the field, several others will look to an impress to close a week headlined by the MLS returns of several Americans abroad.

Fabian Johnson returned to training with Borussia Monchengladbach following the winter break, and the midfielder could make his first appearance since early December on Saturday when his side takes on Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez and Bayer Leverkusen. Johnson’s return is far from the only interesting Bundesliga storyline, though, as Bobby Wood’s Hamburg collides with Alfredo Morales’ Ingolstadt while Christian Pulisic and Borussia Dortmund face Mainz on Sunday.

In Scotland, Perry Kitchen and Hearts look to build off a midweek win, but a tough task lies ahead as league-leaders Celtic are next on the agenda. As for Celtic’s rivals, Emerson Hyndman and Rangers take the field Saturday against Motherwell.

Elsewhere, Gedion Zelalem, Terrence Boyd and Ethan Horvath look to make debuts for their respective teams while several Americans look to lift their clubs in FA Cup action.
