Report: Hyndman linked with loan move to Rangers

Emerson Hyndman’s game-time at Bournemouth has been limited to say the least, but it appears the American midfielder could be set for a loan move in pursuit of consistent time on the field.

Reports out of Scotland state that Hyndman is a target of Scottish powerhouse Rangers, who are looking to bring the Bournemouth midfielder in on loan for the rest of the Scottish Premier League season. The move would make Hyndman the second American to join the club in as many seasons following Gedion Zelalem’s loan spell, while DaMarcus Beasley, Carlos Bocanegra, Claudio Reyna and Maurice Edu have all previously featured for the club.

The news comes following Hyndman’s recent FA Cup appearance for the Cherries, his first since a League Cup appearance in September. Hyndman has yet to make a Premier League appearance for Bournemouth this season after sealing a summer move from Fulham.

Rangers currently sit second in the Scottish league table, a whopping 21 points behind league-leaders Celtic.

  1. Unlike zelalems loan last year, Hyndman won’t have nearly the competition to try and break into first team next year at Bournemouth as zelalem does at arsenal. A good move for emo I think, needs the first team mins
