After chasing Monaco for the better part of the season, Paris Saint-Germain has a chance to catch up with the Ligue 1 leaders this weekend when they square off at Parc des Princes.
PSG, who has been riding on the fine form of Edinson Cavani, will have to find a way to outscore the high-octane offense of Monaco, which leads Ligue 1 with 64 goals through 21 matches.
The two sides first met in August of 2016, with Monaco picking up a 3-1 win a home to give PSG its first loss of the season.
In the U.K., English FA Cup action resumes with fourth-round action. Notable clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford, Wycombe Wanderers and Southampton, respectively. Defending champions Manchester United, meanwhile, will host Wigan Athletic.
Elsewhere, first-place Juventus will visit Sassuolo in Italian Serie A fixture, while second-place AS Roma travels to face Sampdoria. The German Bundesliga, on the other hand, will feature a clash between two top-three clubs in RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim.
On the international front, the Africa Cup of Nations will see its quarterfinals take place, while the U.S. Men’s National Team will play its first match under head coach Bruce Arena’s second stint on Sunday against Serbia.

Instead of bundesliga soccer tomorrow we get to watch auto racing on fox sports 2….yay!
Yeah, and the US friendly is only on a Spanish language station apparently. I guess ESPN is too busy showing women’s college basketball games.
DIRCTV has the friendly scheduled on ESPN-2 (Sunday @ 2 pm AZ time).
Mario Rodriguez whose transfer to Dresden and loan to Sonnenhof went unnoticed this week started and scored a goal, Joe Gyau came off the bench for the final 11 minutes. Nice to see two young Americans on the same squad even if its in the 3.Liga.
Boyd, Wood, Morales, CCV all start today. Boyd’s the big surprise.
hyndman created the game-winner for rangers, and got one for himself later on. bossed the whole game.
Fox missed a big opportunity to put the Bundesliga on Big Fox for Saturday. They finally have a day where they control both the EPL and GB and have the chance to over-promote the property they have the most control over, and they relegate it to FoxSoccer2Go & FS2. Way to go Fox.
Many of their programming decisions seem foolish to me. Maybe I’m missing something, but are there a lot of German Americans who follow certain teams here, or are most of the viewers like most of the people here at SBI? I suspect most of the SBI readers follow the Bundesliga because we want to see US players play who are on Bundesliga teams. Yet, often we will see a game with one or even two Americans shunted aside for coverage of a game between 2 other teams which may be bigger in Germany. I think they should feature games with American players when they broadcast here, but maybe they know something I don’t.
I’m guessing they paid a decent amount of money for the rights to the FA Cup and therefore are focusing their coverage there. Probably had in the agreement the number of matches each round that they will broadcast on their platforms. Not sure there is enough interest in soccer for Fox to carry it on all three channels, Fox, Foxsports 1 &2 at least not an early round FA and matchday 20 or so in the Bundesliga.
