Americans Abroad Friday Rewind: Green, Wooten and more

green

Friday was a light day for Americans abroad, but it did see the continued integration of one young star to his new team.

Julian Green earned another start for Stuttgart, playing 62 minutes in the team’s 2-0 win over Heidenheimer SB. The win, which saw Green’s fourth start with the club, opened up a six-point gap on second-place Hannover, who maintain a game in hand.

Andrew Wooten’s day was much less successful, as the Sandhausen forward couldn’t help his team in a 3-0 loss to Kaiserslautern. Sandhausen currently sits seventh in the 2. Bundesliga, six points out Hannover of a spot in the promotion playoff.

Jose Torres, Gedion Zelalem and Ethan Hrovath were all limited to th ebench on Friday, but each saw their team pick up wins in league play.

    • Kevin Bacon made the bench for Werder Bremen (Standing 15th, 4th from the bottom)……keep working kid!!!

Alfredo Morales (16th, second from the bottom) helped Alfredo Morales defeat Eintracht Frankfurt (standing 5th). Morales should be TRIED in the central DM role. He is playing at a higher level than Bradley (simple fact…just saying).

      • The Julian Green hype train is back. Kid plays for Bayern (reserves in the fourth division)? Bring him to Brazil and leave Landon at home! 3 years later… Kid makes two starts after doing nothing for three years? USMNT starter immediately!!
