  1. Rummenigge is FIFA’s UEFA club chairman for. He has little to do with the nations side and while he has influence, he was once under investigation on the FIFA 2006 WC slush fund mess, and many have backed off supporting him . He, like many others, are hoping the US will host to make a 48 team WC look plausible. If the political climate intensifies over immigration and the Mexican Border Wall, I doubt that anybody will support a US WC bid, or the US will co-host with Mexico or any of the hope that FIFA has, for an awful idea.
