Americans Abroad Tuesday Rewind: Ream, Williams, Bornstein and more

Tuesday was an unfortunate day for Tim Ream, even if his team was able to overcome an early deficit to earn a dramatic point.

The U.S. Men’s National Team defender scored a fifth minute own goal in Tuesday’s match against Leeds United, but a 94th minute equalizer from Tom Cairney earned Fulham a 1-1 draw in Championship action. Danny Williams and Reading also settled for a draw in a 0-0 clash with Newcastle, who played without DeAndre Yedlin due to injury.

In Mexico, Jonathan Bornstein and Queretaro saw their fates sealed by penalty kicks in Copa MX play. The Liga MX side fell, 4-1, to FC Juarez from the spot following a 1-1 draw through regular time.
