Sunday is a day for new beginnings as one team begins its MLS life while another opens its new home.

Action begins in Orlando as Orlando City opens the club’s new stadium against New York City FC. The matchup of 2015 expansion partners is their second opening-week clash in three seasons as Jason Kreis faces off with his former club.

The schedule then turns to Bobby Dodd Stadium for the debut match for Atlanta United. Led by Miguel Almiron, Tito Villalba and Josef Martinez, Atlanta faces a tough task to begin their MLS run as they take on the New York Red Bulls.

Finally, the Vancouver Whitecaps and Philadelphia Union join the fray for Sunday’s late game, the last of the opening weekend.
