Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

Saturday provides another full day of soccer action as league and cup competitions continue throughout the world.

The action begins in England as Premier League scheduling is joined with matches from the FA Cup. In league action, the day is headlined by Everton’s clash with West Brom while Hull City and Swansea City collide in a clash of teams near the bottom of the table. Meanwhile, in cup play, Middlesbrough takes on Manchester City while Arsenal faces off with underdog Lincoln City in one of the day’s more intriguing matches.

German soccer is also on the agenda with some clashes of heavy hitters. Borussia Dortmund faces off with Hertha Berlin in a clash of teams near the top of the standings while Bayern Munich takes on Timmy Chandler and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Elsewhere, French leaders AS Monaco face off with Bordeaux while a full slate of MLS matches headline the evening’s schedule.

  1. just a reminder for tomorrow morning, Rangers vs Celtic is on Fox Sports 1 at 8am. Awesome to see Hyndman in such a big game.

    • He picked up a yellow in the 24th, hopefully that had something to do with it. Maybe they wanted to protect him, possibly from a retaliation foul or he was on the verge of getting sent off

      • Would seem kind of odd to sub him because of the yellow that early in the match. Really hoping it’s nothing. Good for Rodriguez whose been getting regular minutes since transferring in January as well

  2. I think it is now quite evident that Dortmund are noticeably better when pulisic is on the field and that’s not from a US bias. It was abundantly clear today that there is a lack of offensive spark when he isn’t out there.
