Another U.S. Men’s National Team regular looks set to miss time due to injury.
Hertha Berlin announced that John Brooks is set to miss out “for the time being” due to a hip issue. According to German outlet Kicker, Brooks complained of muscular issues before a more thorough examination revealed a muscular issue in the hip region.

Just four matches remain in the Bundesliga season and Hertha Berlin currently sits in fifth place ahead of Saturday’s match against Aron Johannsson and Werder Bremen. A fifth-place finish would see the club lock up qualification for the 2017-18 Europa League group stage.
Brooks has featured 22 times for the club this season, scoring two goals.
I remember when Jozy went down last year, there were several who said we should stop calling Jozy because he gets hurt too much and couldn’t be counted on. Where are the calls for Fabian and JAB to be jettisoned they are hurt more than they are healthy and Cameron isn’t far behind.
As long as it’s not a muscle tear, he should be okay by the next international break, which isn’t until after the first week in June.
The headline I saw elsewhere said muscle tear and out indefinitely.
yeah ESPNFC’s German correspondent STEPHAN UERSFELD used the word “tear” in translating the Kicker report. But Bundesliga English page does not say “tear”…for what it’s worth…
Club just setting the expectation that he won’t be available for the international break. Classic Hertha B.
Dude gets hurt, A LOT
