Johnson to miss match against Hertha Berlin due to injury

Fabian Johnson’s injury issues have persisted as the Bundesliga campaign continues.

After missing a pair of U.S. Men’s National Team World Cup qualifiers, Johnson sat out this past weekend’s clash with Eintracht Frankfurt due to a thigh issue. That issue will also keep him out of Wednesday’s clash with USMNT teammate John Brooks and Hertha Berlin.

Johnson last featured on March 16, lasting just 16 minutes before being forced out of Monchengladbach’s Europa League draw with Schalke.

Monchengladbach enters Wednesday’s clash sitting 10th in the Bundesliga, but just seven points behid fifth-place Hertha Berlin. Johnson has appeared in 19 league matches for the Bundesliga club, scoring three goals.
