Soccer Wednesday: Your Running Commentary

Wednesday is a busy one in club soccer as several of Europe’s biggest leagues boast matchups featuring top clubs.

The day is headlined by English soccer, and one particular match in particular. League-leaders Chelsea look to distance themselves even further from the pack on Wednesday, but they’ll face a tough test against fellow contenders Manchester City. Second place Tottenham is also in action against relegation-threatened Swansea while Liverpool face off with Bournemouth as the Reds look to push for a Top 4 spot.

In Spain, Barcelona faces a massive test as well as Lionel Messi and co. face off with Sevilla. Entering Wednesday, Barcelona sits two points behind leaders Real Madrid, who visit lowly Leganes.

Meanwhile in Italy, the Coppa Italia returns with a clash of heavyweights as Juventus collides with Napoli. The evening, meanwhile, is headlined by the CONCACAF Champions League as the Vancouver Whitecaps take on Tigres to determine a spot in the tournament’s finale.
