With Premier League fixtures dominating the weekday slate more of the same will likely happen this weekend.

With the title race heating up, Tottenham will look to close the gap with Chelsea but it won’t be an easy road. While only four points separate the two teams, the gap could easily shift this weekend. Tottenham will be playing in a critical North London Derby this weekend hoping to extend their historic winning streak in the league to nine games. While both teams are trending in different directions, the NLD promises to bring the best performances out of Tottenham and Arsenal. Chelsea will be taking on Everton at Goodison in what is likely their most difficult match remaining in the season.

In Serie A, Roma and Lazio will clash in the Derby della Capitale. This derby comes at a critical time as Roma hold a four-point lead over Napoli to avoid the play-in round of the Champions League next year. Roma wants to avoid a second year missing out on the group stage so winning this derby is a must. Lazio will surely want to play spoilers to their local rivals so even though it is the early match on Sunday, it’s worth setting the alarm clock for.

Dortmund take on Cologne in a match with huge implications in Germany. Dortmund currently holds a one point lead over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga but a win can go a long way to putting Hertha Berlin in the rearview mirror. Anthony Modeste and Cologne are always a good bet to pull a shocker so Dortmund will need to be on high alert in this one. It has the makings of an open entertaining match to headline Saturday’s slate of games.
