Cameron signs new deal with Stoke City

Geoff Cameron is set to remain with Stoke City for the foreseeable future.

Stoke announced on Friday that Cameron has signed a new deal that will keep him with the club through 2020. Cameron had one year left on his previous deal before re-upping with the club, which finished 13th in the Premier League this season.

The defender/midfielder was limited to just 19 appearances this season due to injury, missing a large chunk during the middle of the season due to a knee issue. In total, Cameron has made 165 appearances since joining the club from the Houston Dynamo.

According to Stoke, Cameron has traveled back to the U.S. ahead of the U.S. Men’s National Team’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico.
