Soccer Wednesday: Your Running Commentary

Wednesday’s schedule begins across the Atlantic in European continental competition, and ends back in the Americas with MLS, USL, and the CONCACAF U-17 Championship.

Kicking off the day’s slate is a UEFA Europa League semifinal showdown as Dutch regulars Ajax take on Alexandre Lacazette and Lyon in leg one of their match-up. Just a few hours later, the UEFA Champions league continues its semifinals as well, with leg one between surprise French contenders Monaco, led by exciting youngster Kylian Mbappe, and the stalwart Italian defense of Juventus.

At the conclusion of the European action, the schedule jumps back across the Atlantic as a pair of CONCACAF U-17 Championship matches begin in the early evening with Honduras taking on the U.S. Men’s U-17 National Team, while Panama welcomes Mexico.

Later in the night, a pair of MLS matches leads the agenda as Toronto FC battles Orlando City before Sporting Kansas City welcomes the New York Red Bulls in a high-octane Eastern Conference showdown. Finally, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Toronto FC II meet in USL play to conclude the schedule.
