Midday Ticker: Moreno to Roma, Salcedo loaned to Frankfurt and more

Two Mexican international center backs are on the move.

First off, it’s Hector Moreno transferring from PSV Eindhoven to AS Roma. He is Roma’s first new signing under recently hired sporting director Monchi. (REPORT)

The other Mexican defender on the move is Carlos Salcedo. He’s been loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt from Chivas for the 2017-18 season. Frankfurt will have the option to buy the Real Salt Lake product outright at the end of the year. (REPORT)

The Italian coaching carousel continues to spin as Eusebio Di Francesco is departing Sassuolo, reportedly with his eye on the vacant AS Roma job. He is in Rome, where he is expected to take over for Luciano Spalletti, who left for Inter Milan last week. (REPORT)

Arsenal backup goalkeeper David Ospina is once again linked with a move away from North London. He is reportedly in talks with Fenerbahce in Turkey over a €3.5 million move. Ospina made 24 Premier League appearances for Arsenal since joining in 2014. (REPORT)

Speaking of Fenerbahce, Mathieu Valbuena has completed his move from Olympique Lyonnais to the Turkish outfit for €1.5 million. (REPORT)

Chelsea are expected to sign former Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero on a free transfer. He will be released from City when his contract expires at the end of this month. (REPORT)
