Could Dom Dwyer be on the move soon?
According to ESPN, Orlando City is “aggressively pursuing” the Sporting KC forward, whose current deal expires at the end of the year.
Over the last week, @OrlandoCitySC have been aggressively pursuing Dom Dwyer…@SportingKC have engaged them. Stay tuned. #MLS

With Dwyer on an expiring contract, it would make sense if Sporting KC was willing to part ways with him, especially if neither side can agree to a new deal.
The U.S. Men’s National Team striker is very familiar with Orlando as he was on loan with the club in 2013 when it was still in the USL.
The 26-year-old has five goals in 15 games so far this season.
Underwhelmingly unambitious of Orlando
Agreed, going after one of the worst players in the league is very unambitious. They need to be targeting guys who have scored the most goals over the last few years.
I like your sarcastic comment. 🙂
If he can turn his into a low DP deal, good for him. He had more potential (soccer and marketing-wise in MLS than in Europe), so at his age, if an MLS team is hot for him, that’s prolly his best move.
An interesting dynamic to the equation is his wife, Sydney Leroux, plays for FC Kansas City – a move I believe she made for her family (and baby). I’m wondering what impact this would have on her own career, with their new baby, if she’s unable to secure a move to the NWSL Orlando Pride.
I think they are pretty much a package deal.
