Toronto FC has a press conference scheduled for today and while the original belief was that the club was going to introduce a new set of assistant coaches, the announcement may be for something far bigger.
A designated player perhaps? A source in Toronto tells me the news is bigger than that. Not sure what is bigger than a designated player announcement but we will find out in a few hours so stay tuned.

Also Toronto took a chance in drafting top college forward Joe Lapira from Notre Dame when everyone else skipped him because he was supposed to sign somewhere in Europe. He had a trial w Aberdeen in Scotland which ended – maybe he could be signing with Toronto?
