Julio_cesar_leon_ap

Unlike their American counterparts, CONCACAF players enjoyed a strong showing in leagues throughout Europe last weekend.

From Honduran midfielder Julio Cesar Leon (pictured) scoring for Genoa to Canadian forward Rob Friend netting a pair of Borussia Monchengladbach, there were plenty of positives for the CONCACAF players in Europe’s top leagues.

Here is a rundown of how they did this weekend:

CANADA

COSTA RICA

GRENADA

HONDURAS

JAMAICA

MEXICO

NETHERLANDS ANTILLES

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

Feel free to include any players I missed. Some players who did not have games were not listed, but have been listed in the past, so please consult past lists before pointing out somebody’s absence. As I have stated before, The leagues cited above are the leagues I will use to make this list up. England, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Switzerland and Belgium are the leagues, with England Italy, Spain and Germany second divisions also being included. If there is someone else you in another league you would like to see included you can feel free to post his accomplishments in the comments section.
