  1. After watching Del Piero for Juventus, if he had come to MLS (although highly unlikely) he would have been DOMINANT. He’s still got it and that’s for sure. That being said if MLS could get it done, he would be an extremely wise choice for a DP. He has the marketability and the skill to match it.

  2. Arsenal isn’t exactly starting chopped liver. Fabregas, Da Silva, Toure, Gallas, Eboue, Hleb, etc. – they’re all starter quality.

  3. At the last minute I decided to order the PPV which was a good decision because I don’t have to deal with any slope shouldered, mouth breathing & drooling ManU fans because my team is getting their f’n a$$es handed to them!!!

  4. Small squad? Its about the size of everyone elses, except they are missing 8 or 9 players to injury.

At least their bench players are tested, thanks to Wenger’s Carling Cup policy. I bet they still beat United.

  5. Word is that Arsenal are unlikely to field a full strength side.
Adebayour has a knock, so he’s a doubt and Rosicky is out along with about 7 others.

Both teams have crucial Champions League ties this week so I think Arsenal’s depth in particular will be tested. They have a small squad this season for a club of their stature . Manchester United do benefit from having so many quality resources in pushing across all three competitions.

Still should be a cracking match.

New captain Jay DeMerit should return for Watford today against Charlton (where Cory Gibbs recently returned to training with the first team; good luck to him).
