Manchester United increased its lead in the English Premier League to five points with its 3-0 whipping of Liverpool on Sunday.
Nani scored a goal and delivered an assist while Cristiano Ronaldo added another goal as Liverpool struggled to cope with being a man down after Javier Mascherano was issued a second yellow for dissent.
Man U’s lead grew and the team chasing them in second place has changed. Chelsea leapfrogged Arsenal in the standings after coming back from a goal down to post a 2-1 victory against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Didier Drogba’s two goals were the difference as Arsenal fell to third place, six points behind Man U.
As for Liverpool, the Reds are now just two points ahead of Everton for fourth place in the EPL.

Can the Blues, which still play host to Manchester United later in the season, make up the five-point gap? Is Man U just playing too well to expect them to stumble? Share your thoughts below.
