Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Julio Cruz headline the 21-man roster chosen by Argentina head coach Alfio Basile to take part in Argentina’s upcoming friendlies against Mexico (June 4) and USA (June 8).
Not all the stars for Argentina will be making the trip after long European seasons or injuries. Carlos Tevez, Hernan Crespo and Juan Roman Riquelme were not called up.
More than 48,000 tickets have been sold for the USA-Argentina match at Giants Stadium and the match should be an exciting one. It will be the first meeting between the teams since their Copa America clash last summer, won by Argentina, 4-1.
