There were plenty of stars missing from last weekend’s MLS action, whether because of injuries or national team duty, but that didn’t stop other players from stepping up and delivering some memorable performances.
Los Angeles was missing Landon Donovan, so Edson Buddle stepped up with a hat trick. Toronto FC was playing without Amado Guevara, so Rohan Ricketts stepped up. New England played without Shalrie Joseph, so Steve Ralston produced some of his usual magic.
These were just some of last week’s standouts. here are the rest of the SBI MLS Best XI for Week 12:

Abel Xavier on even the bench is crazy considering how he was playing earleir in the year!
Well VD, i guess we will start to find out how good la is starting this weekend rite?
Buddle’s got two hat tricks this season. That doesn’t warrant a little front-page love?
I’m tired of LA being the front page image or story on every MLS site. To most teams in the league, the galaxy are completely irrelevant and don’t even exist. They are blowing out awful west coast teams.. who cares? Have they beat any east coast teams besides KC? All the action and talent is in the east.
Ives, it’s so nice to see Jamison Olave finally get the recognition he deserves. He’s virtually unknown to other teams besides RSL, and yet he is easily one of the best center back talents in the league.
Matt Reis is a reckless thug punk?
I don’t know where that’s coming from other than you not being a Revolution fan.
Unless you’re Alecko Eskandarian…in which case I’d like to inform you that my friends and I call Reis ‘DonkeyPunch’ purely because of the incident where he knocked you out for the remainder of the season and forced you into that helmet for the rest of your playing days.
But seriously, why do you think he’s a punk?
The words Reis and class should NEVER be in the same sentence, unless class is preceded by NO. The guy is a reckless thug punk.
Tim Crawford – head to head this season i would say Busch has the edge on reis 😛
however, Reis is simply class… altho one can argue that Busch has been stellar all season
No Chris Leitch? ;-))
I can’t believe Davino even played well.
Ok, Sal. Let me just say, I officially think you must be crazy.
Str8Red- why didnt he just role out the red carpet for that 😀
Busch>>>Reis
“Roll,” ldq. The word is “roll.” Sweet Baby Jesus . . .
Andre Rocha? You have Moor and Davino, and they were good, but Rocha’s pass to Cooper for the goal was beautiful.
The revs are on such a role. I’m scared of them blowing it tonight per the norm
Good List!
A little unsure about X!
