David Beckham is in the Lone Star State today as his Galaxy takes on FC Dallas in a key Western Conference clash.

With reports linking Kenny Cooper to an impending move to Europe, tonight’s match could also signal Cooper’s final appearance in MLS. The same can’t be said for Juan Toja, who won’t be in uniform for tonight’s match as it appears his looming transfer to Steaua Bucharest is close to completion.

If you will be watching tonight’s match, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

  1. Angel,

I would not have used the turf as an excuse but the heat (temp 102-105). The turf is struggling because of the heat and there was an international game between Jamaica and El Salvador played on Saturday night that did not really help. Plus from the last game I watched from the Home Depot it is in pretty bad shape as well. So they are probably used to that.

  2. Well I don’t want to make excuses for what I saw on TV Galaxy vs. FC Dallas but what the hell is going on with that turf, if you FC dallas call it “Stadium” wow is a dump. Anyways the way the GALAXY played was awful and disgrace it look like amature playing. Noone couldn’t hold the ball or make right passes that’s including Beckham and Donovan. What’s going on with Randall I think he should be playing. Carlos Ruiz look out of shape and lost a lot of speed. I so very disappointed. RUUD have to go back to the same lineup they had Three weeks ago.

    Buddle, Donovan

    Beckham

    Todula, Pires, Klein

    Randolph, Frankling, Dominguez, Robert.

Keep in the Bench Ruiz, Allen, Venney, Jazic, Venegas, & Gordon

  3. I think its hilarious that the mlsnet.com write-up of this game called the Galaxy keeper Kevin Cronin instead of Steve Cronin. As bad as Cronin has been , LA may actually have been better off if the lead singer for REO Speedwagon was in goal.

  4. Glad to see Dallas win a big one. I like LA, though, but I thought they lost the game in the midfield in the 1st half. None of their build-ups ever seemed to get past midfield. LA had Vagenas and Pires (the worst Brazilian in MLS, perhaps?), while FCD had some really good distribution by guys like Richetti, Rocha, etc.

LA finally got some shots in the 2nd half when they were able to distribute the ball past midfield, but by then it was too late.

  5. galaxy dont look at all like a team.

or they look like players without a coach to make them play as a team.

they win the ball, give it to beckham on the side, he whips in a cross like always, but nobody is on the same wavelength, and its usually a defender that clears or not a dangerous cross.

if i were the galaxy i would do MAJOR changes to the formation, possibly even playing beckham in the middle. They need to utilize Donovan better because he is really quiet as of late.

  6. Dallas gave a lesson on how you repond to bad results against a team that gave you a thumping. Fantastic 4th goal! I’m really disgusted with the Galaxy. Twinkle, Twinkle nutless stars….

  7. Dallas takes it 4-0, could have been worse. I wish Cooper would go to a low table premiership side I think he could have success there.

  8. Dallas has been outplaying and out hustling LA, if LA doesn’t change something it could get worse like a 5-0 repay for last time they played.
