U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals: Your Running Commentary

Good evening folks. The U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals kick off tonight with five MLS teams, two USL-1 teams and USL-2 squad Crystal Palace Baltimore all vying for a place in the semifinals.

Here are tonight’s match-ups:

  • Crystal Palace Baltimore at New England Revolution (New Britain, Conn.), 7pm
  • Chicago Fire at D.C. United (Boyds, Maryland), 7:30 pm
  • Charleston Battery at FC Dallas (Pizza Hut Park, Frisco, Texas), 8:30 pm
  • Kansas City Wizards at Seattle Sounders (Qwest Field, Seattle), 10 pm

    man that was destroying me. i could barely take how unlucky the sounders were. 2wice of the crossbar, about 4 blocked shots….great game and im glad we came away with a win.

    Sorry, Wells makes Conway look like Schmeichel. Sutton is (or at least, was) far better than Wells too. I’ll give you Cronin, but I think he’s much younger than Zach.

    You had to be at the field tonight to appreciate just how poor Wells’ positioning and communication were. Truly stunning, esp. for the #1 keeper on a decent team.
