  1. Let’s face it Rev’s Fans– YOU GOT BEAT !

Shalrie Joseph is a selfish player or what he did never would have happened. Reis is GREATLY overated– a media darling. Steve Nicol is a bit scarrrry !

If the Rev’s had a few more Twellmans and Ralston’s they would be unbeatable– but they don’t. Goodnight Rev’s– it’s midnight

  2. I agree with trading Mapp. If we can get a stud right outside back for him we will have a incredible lineup. Now with a youthful and excited Pappa in the lineup I would gladly drop Mapp. He seems uninterested in playing and seems like he just doesnt want to be there.

  3. Watch the replay, the linesman clearly indicates that it is Fire ball prior to Blanco picking up the ball. Joseph attempts to needle Blanco. Bad timing by Joseph who already had a yellow card (despite that the commentators could not remember this fact).

  4. Frankly, Joseph was right. The ball last went off Blanco, nevertheless his grabbing the ball like that was dumb. It’s just another example of how Blanco gets under people’s skins.

  5. “There was no discussion. It was our ball and I tried to grab it away from Blanco.” -Sharlie Joseph quoted in the boston herald.

Except that it wasn’t your throw in Sharlie. The ref was point for a fire throw in and you chose to ignore him. You screwed up at a crucial time. This loss in on your shoulders.

  6. I think we should have traded Mapp. With all his talent the guy has no drive. I swear I saw him chasing butterflies during the match. Our passes are something left to be desired. A one foward line-up will never work for us. It wasnt the best of games the Fire has played this year…TAKE THAT superliga chumps…you just got swept.

  7. Anyone see Steve Nicol harangue the officials afterward? Hey Stevie the Scouser, if Shalrie Joseph had any semblance of discipline he doesn’t get sent off for being stupid.

    Great win by the Fire!!!!

I remember regular 20,000 crowds in the late 90’s and I don’t think it was just free tickets, as they claim. The team brand was severely damaged by a long series of debacles before Steve Nicol took over. The Krafts sponsor the Revs and have kept the prices affordable, but sometimes I wonder if anyone above the Steve Nicol level is really into the Revs enough to do whatever it takes to build a larger base of fans.

You might want to check the standings or did you put your foot in your mouth and speak too soon.

Satan The Fire would NEVER let Barrett take a free kick. getting a lucky one in means nothing hes not exactly Beckham. If thats your best free kcik taker your in for a world of hurt.

  10. Yep,

Fire spot N.E. one on the road and still win.

    Bring on Barca.

Fire certainly coldnt do worse than NJ.

Nice goal by Barrett. I believe it was a free kick, he never woulda made that with the Fire. He was way down the chain for taking free kicks after Cuah, Mapp, Sega.

  11. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Reis miss one like that before. He had the same look Brad Guzan had on that one that dribbled through his hands earlier this season. Kept looking like them like he expected to find a hole there.

  12. never expected to see the revs implode like that.

    blanco gets into nyassi’s head,

    joseph loses his, and

reis slips up on a sitter.

A stadium near Boston. A FO that encourages, heck even allows fans to display creativity. Security that doesn’t throw out people who contribute to the atmosphere.

First one should be done (in Somerville) around 2012. No idea on parts 2&3.

  14. If anybody cares, the PDL championship game is on FSC. Laredo Heat vs Thunder Bay Chill. Laredo of course has current US U-20 wonderboy Felix Garcia who I believe still has a year of high school to finish.

  15. Reis spills the ball while rushing to stifle Andy Herron. Herron almost makes him pay, but the Revs D bailed him out.

    1-1 84th minute.

I know Martino is just filling in for Marcelo Balboa, but he’s been excellent all game. El Mero Mero for me.

  16. Reis with an awful mistake in the 80th minute. Segares scores from outside the box.

Looked like the ball skipped right off Reis’s hands or something. Looked like Zach Wells.

  17. whoever said Kyle is doing a good job on color is dead-on. I have been impressed so far with him.

apart from TT’s header this game has been pretty uneventful apart from a few chances

  18. Twellman doesn’t wear tight shirts, he’s just massive.

I hope Baky brutally snaps that little boy’s leg, Eduardo style, in the 2nd half.

  19. satan- congrats on Barrett getting a goal… as we fire fans know, they are few and far between…. im hoping he finds a groove, but dont expect this performance week in and week out….

barrett was not pulling his starting spot with the fire, so off loading him did not hurt…. you can talk about getting immediate benefits, but we see it as obtaining a striker that will help through the long stretch…
