Good morning everybody. It is bright and early and the U.S. men’s Olympic soccer team is set to begin it’s tournament with an opening match against Japan (4:55pm, MSNBC). The match is crucial to the American team’s chances of advancing out of a brutal group that includes the Netherlands and Nigeria.

Balboa is stupid…that’s not a penalty. Just because you prematurely declare it a “definite penalty,” doesn’t mean you have to defend it when the video clearly shows it was soft (at best)

I love how this ref lets the shorter Japanese players climb up our backs when there’s a header, but he calls McBride and Altidore everytime they shield the ball.
