The Houston Dynamo will have its first home game of the CONCACAF Champions League tonight when the MLS champions take on Panamanian side San Francisco FC tonight at Robertson Stadium.
Will the Dynamo deliver Major League Soccer’s first victory in the CONCACAF Champions League, or will MLS keep waiting as the USL teams continue to show them up?
If you will be watching tonight’s match (10pm, Fox Soccer Channel) please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

DE-Ro is ready for Europe. another deep playoff run and i cant see him playing for the Dynamo next season. GO DYNAMO!
props to Columbus for a magnificent season. we need more teams of this caliber to bring up the MLS
^ good luck on making that happen with Mo Johnston and John Carver running the show.
Think he’ll stear clear of that train wreck.
Yup, don’t forget that the size of his DP deal with Toronto next year could depend on his performances right now!
Can somebody explain to me how someone as tall as Jaqua can be so absolutely terrible in the air? I mean, he’s not even average….he is horrible. And the Dynamo could very well have the worst back up keeper in the league. Thank goodness DeRo comes thru tonite.
It was beginning to look like it might be a Dynamo game of yesteryear: lots of possession, lots of shots, but poor finishing. Leave it to DeRo to win possession for himself and send a laser into the net from distance. A justified 3 points for the home team. Outstanding.
In the 10 minutes prior, the missed headers, volleys, and chips were becoming ludicrous.
Once again, Houston shows their depth, which is still the best in MLS. Good show, good win.
DeRo is a god… he must be one of the most clutch players this league has ever seen.
Full time. Houston 2-1 SFFC. Nice win – Houston really took control in the second half, and DeRo’s quality was obvious when he came in for the last 15 minutes.
Prior to DeRo’s goal, Houston was really pouring on the pressure. Ianni had a free header from a corner kick at the yard line, and headed it down with such force that it bounced back up and over the bar.
yes I meant end of first half…now, with a few minutes to go, De Ro has given Houston the lead off a bullet shot from outside the box.
DeRo off the bench with a blast! 2-1 Hou, 88th
DeRo! Nails it from 25 yards after dispossessing the SF. The keeper doesn’t even try for it.
DeRo in, and promptly sets up some nice chances, including a beautiful scoop to Wondolowski, who hits the post.
Nice header by Wondolowski hit the bar.
That’s the 2nd sub for Hou, they pulled Rico Clark for Mulrooney at half. Yeah, MLS teams really go all out for this competition…
Brown on for Mullen, quite the early sub. Didn’t look like an injury, but I’m streaming in Spanish.
I’d really like to see more out of Holden this game with no DeRo in
Good start to the half. After that 40 yd bomb that caught the keeper off his line, Jaqua snaps a header wide – coulda shoulda done better.
Jaqua again fails to put away a great opportunity. He needs to put shots on net.
WTF was that?!?
Goal San Fran on an outrageous lob!!!
1-0 Hou at the half, Chris Wondolowski headed in a cross from Corey Ashe after SFFC failed to clear.
You mean end of the first half, brad.
Hello? Hello? People watching the debate instead of soccer? Come on, it’s over and it’s boring – the Galaxy have a better chance of making the playoffs than McCain has of winning.
The first half wasn’t too bad – pretty evenly played, I’d say, even if Houston is up 1-0. They could be up more if Jaqua had the ability to hit the target. Looks like we’ve got a shot at getting the first win of the CCL for MLS.
tuned in just in time to see Jacqua sky 2 great chances in a 2 minute span near the end of the second half
