  1. DE-Ro is ready for Europe. another deep playoff run and i cant see him playing for the Dynamo next season. GO DYNAMO!

  2. ^ good luck on making that happen with Mo Johnston and John Carver running the show.

Think he’ll stear clear of that train wreck.

  3. Can somebody explain to me how someone as tall as Jaqua can be so absolutely terrible in the air? I mean, he’s not even average….he is horrible. And the Dynamo could very well have the worst back up keeper in the league. Thank goodness DeRo comes thru tonite.

  4. It was beginning to look like it might be a Dynamo game of yesteryear: lots of possession, lots of shots, but poor finishing. Leave it to DeRo to win possession for himself and send a laser into the net from distance. A justified 3 points for the home team. Outstanding.

In the 10 minutes prior, the missed headers, volleys, and chips were becoming ludicrous.

  5. Full time. Houston 2-1 SFFC. Nice win – Houston really took control in the second half, and DeRo’s quality was obvious when he came in for the last 15 minutes.

  6. Prior to DeRo’s goal, Houston was really pouring on the pressure. Ianni had a free header from a corner kick at the yard line, and headed it down with such force that it bounced back up and over the bar.

  7. yes I meant end of first half…now, with a few minutes to go, De Ro has given Houston the lead off a bullet shot from outside the box.

  8. That’s the 2nd sub for Hou, they pulled Rico Clark for Mulrooney at half. Yeah, MLS teams really go all out for this competition…

  9. Brown on for Mullen, quite the early sub. Didn’t look like an injury, but I’m streaming in Spanish.

I’d really like to see more out of Holden this game with no DeRo in

  10. Good start to the half. After that 40 yd bomb that caught the keeper off his line, Jaqua snaps a header wide – coulda shoulda done better.

  11. Hello? Hello? People watching the debate instead of soccer? Come on, it’s over and it’s boring – the Galaxy have a better chance of making the playoffs than McCain has of winning.

The first half wasn’t too bad – pretty evenly played, I’d say, even if Houston is up 1-0. They could be up more if Jaqua had the ability to hit the target. Looks like we’ve got a shot at getting the first win of the CCL for MLS.
