  1. Anything up today on the Impact and Islanders? Seems like Puerto Rico was unfortunate to get only a single point on the road in Guatemala.

  2. Sporting with a fantastic display today. They will be better when Barca goes to Alvalade for their second meeting and may pull the upset.

  3. I watched the most of the l’pool and PSV game (except for the first 15 minutes) and i have to say that PSV sucks! They didn’t press, they had no urgency, they didn’t play 1-2s, made very few overlapping runs, nothing! It was like they were looking for a tie and when they were down 1-0 and even 2-0, they were happy with the result.

I can’t believe how many times they would make two passes to the side and then back to the defense. And, their passes to their defense were so poor, the third l’pool goal was an indirect result (Torres gets a hold of a bad back pass, defense fouls, Gerrard buries the ensuing free kick).

I mean does it take much imagination to make some runs down the side and/or play some 1-2s? What about the Dutch philosophy of using space? An absolute disgrace to Dutch futbol!

Geez, I hate ESPN and their anglo fetish. Don’t they realize that most people that watch Champions League are futbol fans and want to see a good game versus a Premiership team? Damn, what a waste of 1.5 hours!
