    1. Did anyone watch NEC v Ajax? Great game all around. Gabri scored a nice goal to make the game 2-4 for Ajax. We need to get Eredivisie broadcast in the States. ESPN, I’m looking at you. Sitting at the computer watching games on Sopcast isn’t ideal. Although they have improved the broadcast methods.

    2. Morientes is on the shortlist for striker for Spain during the World Cup. Spain has Torres/Villa up top. And Guiza as a sub. Morientes has a chance to take Guiza’s spot. Bojan Krikic is also a consideration.

    3. Jozy will get his time. He scored a goal seconds after he came on as a sub in just his 2nd or 3rd match for Villarreal. That showed some potential. Just like Messi and Aguero competed, so will Altidore for a spot. Best is for him to be a super-sub this season. He’ll start by next season. But best for him to stay where he is and to be sharp.

He can still run rings around any team in CONCACAF.

    4. Bocanegra is having 1 hell of a year for Rennes. He joined and quickly started. They are challenging Lyon/Marseille for the title. They will for sure be in the Champions League next season.

    5. I’m not worried about Jozy’s situation, they clearly value him and are building for the future.

I do think Jozy is better right now than Franco, and as y’all said, Nihat is injured. I try not to be biased, but I’d play him now, and I think lack of playing time hurts the US ’10 team more than Jozy’s long term career.

    6. Jozy will get time. The injury he got might just be a bit more serious than we thought. He’s only 19/20 guys. He’s not Messi he’s Jozy. He’ll get to greatness on his own path.

    7. I’m starting to get real upset with Villareal’s coaching staff…i mean nihat is injured already and they substitute strikers almost every game. how can jozy never be in the top 5 of their striker pool? loan him out or give him some minutes, he did well when he was in back in november/december.

    9. ha ha fernandes gets a red card and gives bilbao a pentaly kick and llllllllorente puts it in. 3-2. 90 min… bilbao wins it. pretty good finish from bilbao.

    10. fernandes has an attitude problem. okay how is that not a foul or even yellow card? fernandes bascially put his body into another player that sent him flying over.

80th min – still 2-2. both sides have had chances. lopez for bilbao almost gets one in. clumsy play though.

    11. 55th min – couple of chances for both sides so far. mostly fluff chances.

course as i type a valenica had a good chance to take the lead. no side to me is really controlling the match.

maaaannn llorente called offside as he put in a header.

    12. 43rd min – llorente with a wide header. missed a great chance.

44th min – villa with a wide shot. seriously people attach yourself to that man.

    13. 38 min – bilbao had a free kick, corner and nothing comes of it. tempers are rising though.

GK is coming off for valencia. missed what happened.

    14. I agree that Jozy should not have been loaned and should stay in Spain. Ergo, loan him out to another Spanish club. As originally rumored before he made the move to Villareal, they should have loaned him to Deportivo la Coruna. He would have played more there and developed his technical skills.

    15. 30 min – morientes goal. the bilbao defenders suck. villa has run away from them and they left morientes unmarked for the easy goal.

    16. is there a fashion police in soccer? there should be and valencia should be fined big time today. Llorente looks good for bilbao.

    17. This is the same Darren Bent who cost more to transfer from Charlton to Spurs than TH14 from Arsenal to Barca. 14 million pounds for that? Im sure they couldve bought someone for half that who couldve missed just as bad as Bent.

    18. Portsmouth – Tottenham very entertaining match. Lots of chances on both sides. Bent missed an absolute sitter towards the end.

    19. Spurs – Pompey ends 1-1 with Darren Bent the goat on a terrible miss near the end that he’ll see in his dreams. Kudos to Modric who played probably the best game I’ve seen from him in the EPL.

    20. Jozy does not need to go to the EPL. He already has the power, pace, and size. What he needs is the technical aspects, one touch, ball skills. Those things will happen in Spain. I feel a move to Everton would stunt his growth as a player. You seen Everton play? All they do is flight long balls to the striker who heads them down to Arteta who passes to Cahill for a goal. In that respect, it would be a waste of his time in my opinion

    21. Madrid – Osa in injury time still 2-1 Madrid, and Spurs-Portsmouth coming down the stretch tied 1-1 (Defoe tied it on a nice goal in the 70th).

Goal Madrid (Robben), 3-1, thanks for coming everyone. Very unconvincing win though, the Osasuna keeper had one of the worst games I’ve seen all year.

    22. Adam – The more and more I see Jozy not make the bench, I tend to agree, but he could see more PT as the season wears on the first teamers. I just want to see him develop into the kind of player everybody says he has the potential to be and do not see him rush to failure.

    23. Sol Cambell is the man today, makes two great tackles on Defoe deep in the attacking area. Portsmouth have tried to slow this one down, but Spurs aren’t having it.

    24. Goal Madrid! Sergio Ramos makes a great run but hits his shot right at the keeper… who somehow bungles it into the net. Oh dear.

      LOL, doug!

    25. Pretty entertaining Spurs-Pompey game. 0-0 at the half but it was up and down the pitch. Poor Spurs though, both Pavlyuchenko and Ledley King went out with injury in the 1st Half.

Osa still up a goal at the half on Madrid.

    26. 1st half of spurs/pompey was electric! I just can’t watch golTV, the feed is so bad I feel like I’m watching a home video recorded on an ancient camcorder. Can’t wait for HD!

    27. Finally, the thread at last. I was really suffering by myself watching Fulham completely crap the bed against West Ham. Major problems in the backline and lazy passing led to 3 pretty cheap goals.

At least watching Inter Milan get absolutely pasted by Atalanta in a game that could have been 5-0. Celtic lost already too.

Now watching Real Madrid-Osasuna, Osa is up 1-0 in the 26th…
