  1. TJ, Islanders have earned draws in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras… Not to mention about 4 or 5 wins in T&T. So they have a real shot tonight.

Which is more than I can say for the MLS clubs including my very own DC United in this tournament.

  2. Where is this magical ERob out for half the season rumor coming from, Ive seen nothing about this.

And if you dont think Kamara will improve, maybe you have never heard of Nate Jaqua or Joseph Ngwenya, you know, those two forwards no one thought was very good until they played for Dom.

  5. Wow to the comments

    1. the Legend of DeRo is far greater than the actual on field DeRo, it’s like you guys only watch the MLS Cup or something.

    2. Preseason game. This is a new Dynamo team, I mean we have Kamara and Holden starting, two player who were not starting at the end of last year. Give

    them an effing break.

    3. Missing starting center backs Robinson and Boswell

’nuff said. As for USL, they won their home games, big deal, we’ll see what happens tomorrow. And if you really are worried about Houston this season, go back and see what people were saying at the starts of 07 and 08, I think you will eat those words.

  6. jmac, on the first goal Barrett was badly beaten over the top. James was indeed a rare bright spot tonight. With Robinson out for six months, he’s going to get his chance.

  7. word on Bernardo Fallas’ live blog is that Eddie Robinson just had surgery today on his knee. out for 6 months. bad bad news for the dynamo.

  8. ugh. 3-0.

On a somewhat bright note, I don’t think Julius James has looked bad tonight. I didn’t see the first goal, but he wasn’t to blame on the other two (Waibel, Mulrooney), and I thought he was generally in good positions, tackled well, and distributed solidly.

  9. I love my team, but that was pathetic. I have zero faith in our attack right now. That match was just sloppy in the final third of the field.

What a miserable time to be both a Houston fan AND an Arsenal fan (today’s win at W.Brom excepted…an anomoly). Neither team will get on top of replacing losses at the most key of positions.

  10. I don’t think the scoreline is reflective off how generally even the match has been, especially in the second half. If only Waibel hadn’t totally blown that second goal…
