  1. the end of that aston villa game was NUTS. how awesome was carew’s goal? wow. sad a bit for villa, hopefully they can still stay in the top four but awesome for stoke…friggin wow!

  2. 93rd minute- Ronaldo hits the post! Ronaldo cut inward from the right, and hit a shot which just struck the post, and I don’t think Gomez would have gotten to it were it on target.

2nd Half Ends, 0-0, and we are heading to Extra Time.

  3. 85th minute- A Man U pass comes off the referee, but before Tottenham can break out the ref calls a foul on Modric.

Left of center, Ronaldo will look to have a shot, but he hit the wall, and O’Hara is down after taking it on the chest.

  4. 80th minute- Lennon earns a free kick from the right wing. O’Hara sends in the cross, but Foster came out and got it.

Lennon’s had a great game against Evra, and has also tracked back during the game putting in some good defensive work on a few occasions.

  5. 71st minute- Foster made a brilliant save to deny Lennon an open shot from the right, set up by a great pass from Modric. O’Shea slipped to create the chance in the first place.

  6. 67th minute- Ronaldo booked for diving at the edge of the penalty area. Ledley King might have nicked him, but even if he did, it’s probably even up for not sending off O’Shea.

  7. 63rd minute- Free kick from the left wing, close enough to the middle of the pitch to have a shot. Anderson sent it curling into the back post, Gomez came out but misjudged it, but there were no Man U players near it.

  8. 61st minut- Close for Man U! O’Shea heads a corner back into the middle, which was deflected to Evans. He took a shot which came to Tevez open just to the left of goal, but he could only backheel the ball and sent it wide of goal.

  9. Clint Dempsey has promised to record an FA Cup final song if Fulham reach the Wembley final. The American midfielder goes by the alias ‘Deuce’ and says his rapping will eclipse the efforts of Liverpool players in the 1990s. “I’ve heard about FA Cup final songs – especially that Anfield Rap,” he said. “I was thinking about hanging up my mic and retiring, but if we get to Wembley I can do better than that.” (The People)

  10. 52nd minute- Man U have started the 2nd half in the same fashion as they did the 1st, controlling the play.

As I type that Modric starts a counter, pushing the ball forward to Pavlyuchenko, but Man U recovered before a chance could come from it.

Moments later Modric sent in a free kick from the left which was knocked out by Ferdinand for a corner.

  11. 49th minute- Ronaldo had the ball on the right, perfectly sent from O’Shea, but he tries to play it back to Tevez, rather than playing it to Welbeck or even shooting himself, and the pass was wide.

Lennon was fouled making a quick counter back. Pavyluchenko took the free kick instead of Modric, and managed to hit a poorer free kick than Ronaldo’s last one.

  12. 45+1- Modric plays a ball on the ground for Lennon, who once again beat Evra on the left before sending in a ball on the ground that was desperately oout for a corner, which came to nothing.

    Half Time, 0-0.

  13. 45th minute- That would be interest-ed. Tevez, meanwhile, avoids two or three tackles in the midfield with some nifty footwork, but the ball ends up being knocked out for a Tottenham throw in.

  14. 35th- Lennon, over on the left, sent in a right footed cross which Pavyluchenko got to ahead of Ferdinand, but could not put it on goal! He should have done better with that chance.

  15. 29th minute- Modric, from the middle of the pitch, played a ball forward to Bent, who took a shot from the right which was deflected by a defender, but Foster made the save look simpler than it was.

  16. 23rd minute- Ronaldo puts on the pace to head a bouncing ball forward on the right, but his cutback pass to Tevez was behind him and cleared out for a corner.

24th minute- Rio Ferdinand volleys a shot from off his knee that went over the top of the goal by about a foot! that would have been some goal.

  17. samp 2 – 0 mil in the 66th.

first beckham drings the galaxy down to last place now he’s slowly infecting ac into mediocrity.

    makes you go hmmm…

  18. 18th minute- Great chance for Tottenham, as Lennon got past Evra and got to a ball flicked forward for him. Foster came out of goal but couldn’t get to the ball, and Lennon sent a ball across the middle of goal which Pavlyuchenko slid to try and get a foot on, but skied the ball out instead!

  19. Starting Line-ups

    Manchester United

Foster, Evra, Evans, Ferdinand, O’Shea, Nani, Gibson, Scholes, Ronaldo, Welbeck, Tevez

Gomez, Corluka, Dawson, King, Ekkoto, Lennon, Zokora, Jenas, Modric, Bent, Pavlyuchenko

  20. Gee, what happened to Pachuca last night? The “superlider” lost 5-0 to Chivas at Estadio Jalisco. Paco Torres played the whole game.

Is Landon in the 18 for Bayern today?
