While the 2009 MLS season continues to look like the Year of the Rookie, with nearly a dozen rookies seeing considerable minutes for their teams, the video series Rookie Like: Diary of a Draft Pick continues to give us great insight into the process and path some of those rookies took to get from college prospect to pro.
The third episode of the series covers the 2009 MLS Draft and how the key subjects in the series handled the nerves and pressure of the event, an event that will play a major role in the future of their careers.
Here is the latest episode of Rookie Life. Enjoy:

hendrix,
There are a couple guys that do TFCtv that do this show as well…not exactly sure if they are the producers though, I will check though.
oh really? well I wish the very best for Jata, he seems like a real stand up guy
Jata is in negotiations with Charleston, I believe. Too bad after all that, he didn’t stick with the Fire.
really enjoyed that. I hope who ever is putting this together keeps it going through the season.
Ives, do you know who the producer is of this documentary? it’s very nice.
I really hope Jata tears it up in USL-1 this year and gets another shot in MLS. Hard not to like that guy.
Also, I think the production work here by MLS is top shelf.
Jata was released by the Fire.
