Kamani Hill has found a new home.

Hill has signed with Vitoria de Guimaraes after a two week trial with the Portuguese First Division club. The California native has agreed to a deal with the team but he cannot officially join the side until July, when his contract with German club VfL Wolfsburg expires.

"He will have to wait to play for us," team representative Carla Freitas told Yanks-Abroad.com. "He will only play for Vitoria next season. Right now, he has returned to Germany, and he'll be back in Portugal in July."

Vitoria de Guimaraes currently sits in ninth place of the Portuguese league and finished third during the 2007-2008 season.

Here are some other stories to close out your Tuesday:

Hahnemann and Reading fall to Burnley

Heading into their second leg of the promotion playoffs against Burnley and down 1-0 on aggregate, goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann and Reading missed out on reaching the final of the Coca-Cola Championship playoffs as they lost 2-0 on Tuesday.

Reading surrendered two splendid second-half goals and lost the series 3-0 on aggregate. Burnley will take on Sheffield United on May 25th at Wembley Stadium to determine who will be the final team from the Championship to get promoted to the English Premier League for the 2009-2010 season.

Sala sidelined with knee injury

FC Dallas will be without goalkeeper Dario Sala for 4-6 weeks after an MRI showed he had bone bruises in his left knee.

Sala, who has only played twice this season due to a combination of discomfort in his knee and suspension, made his most recent appearance in a loss to Chivas USA on April 25th. Sala received a red card in the 25th minute of the 2-0 defeat.

Ray Burse will fill in as FC Dallas' goalkeeper during Sala's absence.
