AC Milan midfielder Kaka has sent Real Madrid a wishlist that they will need to meet in order to sign him from Milan.

Kaka's wishlist, which doesn't even include the record transfer Madrid needs to give Milan, insists of a $14.1 million sign-on fee for himself, a $14.1 million bonus to his agent and father Bosco Leite and a $1.41 million sign-on fee for his brother, Standard Liege defender Digao.

If Madrid do not come to an agreement with Kaka, then Chelsea could possibly make a deal for the Brazilian playmaker.

Here are more stories to get you through the day:

Pato wants stay with Milan

Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato has dismissed reports of him possibly heading to Chelsea to team up with former coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The 19-year-old expressed his desire to stay with AC Milan on Thursday, stating that he wants to win "everything" with the Italian giants.

"I want to win everything with Milan," said Pato to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Pato, who is worth a reported $63.4 million, scored 15 goals in Serie A this season.

Mourinho to sign Carvalho?

Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho could be poised to make another big signing in the form of Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho.

Carvalho, who has twice played under Mourinho, stated on Wednesday that the past season had been the worst of his career and those words may have opened the door for Mourinho to make a move for the Portuguese international.

The former Chelsea and Porto manager told Foxsoccer.com: "We do need a good central defender. Carvalho? We shall see."

Do you think Kaka is worth all of that money? Happy to see Pato wanting to stay with Milan? Think Carvalho would be a good fit at Inter?

  1. although this story is indeed kind of beckhamesque in that it should be a nonevent until something actually happens, I do think its interesting given that theres not much else soccer news going on right now.

also, respect to Kaka for looking out for those who look out for him. He doesnt have to look out for the people on his wishlist, but does because he obviously doesnt think only of himself, I like that.

also kind of funny is how Fulham and Roy Hodgeson relate to this story, the mirror are reporting that Hodgeson is actually pretty big on Digao and that he may make a move for him. West London is also the home of Chelsea, and if brothers united is the name of the game, with lil bro more likely (even tho still relatively unlikely) to see playing time at Fulham…

chelsea may be getting Kaka after all.

  3. I think it’s hilarious that his brother Digao (a castoff from Milan and a bench warmer at best for Standard) is getting a cut. He obviously isn’t making squat from playing, so might as well benefit from brotherly love! This “wishlist” is ridiculous. Sad this is Real Madrid are dumb enough to say okay.

  4. If that is what some guy brought to the table to come to my team I would tell him to F off.

What you have to understand is, Kaka already plays for one of the best. Kaka is not the one “coming to the table.” Real is chasing him. So if he feels happy enough where he is, with already one of the best clubs in the world (granted they are in a rebuilding process) he can afford to put out crazy demands, so if they are met, they are met, if they are not, he’s already in a good place.

  6. soccerroo,

This is not a clarification but rather a new ruling. It’s actually a really big deal. This is going to open the door to a lot of players to play for other countries.

Matter of fact one who plays in MLS for San Jose.

Either you want to play for one of the best teams in the world or you are just a heartless soccer player. Barcelona’s winning starts from the heart of Puyol. Real Madrids should start from the commitment of Iker and Raul but they have nullified that by bringing in players only wanting money and nothing else.

  8. The Kaka I’ve seen play this year, is not worth all this.

  9. Yeah I think there are a few to many conditions for the signing to happen the way it is.

On the age limit thing that could be very interesting. It might also be a clarification of the current rule.

  10. The more I read about this deal the less I like it. Real Madrid need CBs — they could get some of the best with that kind of money (more than one, let’s say). I am not even sure I know who they have to replace Cannavaro. Metzelder is too slow to play in Spain, Pepe is losing his mind . . . and they’re talking about dropping all this money on an attacking midfielder?

    The Perez era has begun.

  11. so does that mean that he really doesn’t want to play in madrid? if some club is stupid enough to give into those demands, i hope they go bankrupt.
